Cold Is Here

The other day, there was an "incident" of "political vandilism" at Rob's place of employment. I don't know how many of you are familiar with the "why so serious?" tagline for the Joker in the latest Batman film, but if you are then this will make more sense to you. Anyway, apparently someone went to all of the cars in the parking lot that had McCain/Palin stickers on them and put a post it note that said "why so serious" over the sticker. While I think it's always a shitty thing to touch someone else's car, I can find a teeny bit of humor in this.

This is one of the many reasons why I never put any politics stickers (with the exception of telling people to vote for Cthulhu) on my car. I love my car, and I don't want to subject it to the whims of those who disagree with my choice in candidates.

It's getting cold here, like cold enough that I think it's cold. I'm not unconfortable and I'm quite enjoying the weather, but you know it's cold when I turn the heat on in the apartment and wear a long sleeved sweater when I head outside. What kind of cold does it take for me to turn the heat on and wear long sleeves? Low 30's and below.

Yesterday we headed over to Fresh Market and put in our order for what we want to pick up on Thanksgiving. Donna is coming out to visit and so Rob and I decided to get one of those meals from the store that takes only the time needed to heat it up because it's already cooked. We considered heading out to eat, but thought it would be best to cook in and not try to take a two and a half year old out to eat on Thanksgiving. Especially since it's looking like my Mom won't be out here. *snifflewah*

We then headed to the outlet mall in Johnson Creek. Rob needed some new clothes. He got himself a few t-shirts at the Tommy Hilfiger outlet and I bought him some long sleeve shirts at Old Navy. We looked around in a few other stores and then headed back home.

Last night we cooked rib eye steaks and mashed potatoes for dinner and watched The Amazing Race.

Today I'm washing up the towels and hanging out with Gabriel as usual.
