Last night we decided to watch our Netflix DVD of The Happening. Wow. Should have been called The Crappening. It was just that bad. So bad. The next paragraph has spoilers, so if you haven't seen the movie and want to (seriously, don't see it), then skip the next paragraph.

So, um, yeah. Killer plants. The trees don't like humans anymore (but just the ones in the northeast and at the end, France) and can't just leave. So what do they do? Create toxins that reverse our self preservation instinct. People jabber a bit, stop, get disoriented, and then kill themself. Personally, I think when they all stop moving this piece of crap movie flashes through their head and they kill themselves because they can't unsee it. Some things cannnot be unseen and this movie is one of them. In the end, Marky Mark and Zooey decide to head out (with the child they're trying to protect the entire movie) even though they know they'll die because they want to be with each other. Of course, being the main characters, they happen to head out right when the "event" ends. So, yeah, killer plants. I want those two hours of my life back.

Why is M. Night Shamalamadingdong still getting paid to make movies???

On to other things...

This morning I had to get up early to head to my hair appointment. Same color and a trim. In cool news, my stylist, Kylie, is pregnant with a baby girl! I told her to send me her information once she registers.

From there on in, the day was all about errands. We went to The Fresh Market to get some grocery shopping done. We went to the pet store to get Sydney more of his California Naturals dry food and some wet food packs of Wellness. We stopped off for lunch at Taco Bell. We made an ATM run. We went to the drug store for me to pick up a prescription.

We then stopped home to drop everything off and do a few things at home.

Then we headed out once more. We headed to Avenue so I could get some sweaters because the weather is once again getting cold and I needed a few more. We stopped at USA Baby to get a new changing table pad (our old one is shredded, quite literally). We stopped at another drug store for me to pick up some over the counter meds I needed. We then went to our main grocery store for our main shop of the week.

We headed back home and Gabriel got a happy meal (with a hippo toy that won't shut up) and we ate part of a giant sandwich that we got at the grocery store for dinner. Gabriel watched his new DVD of Sleeping Beauty and Rob and I did some gaming.

One super cute thing happened today. We were leaving the grocery store and Rob had put Gabriel's stuffie of Blue (from Blue's Clues) in the back seat. Gabriel didn't see him do this. When we were all in the car Gabriel started freaking out. When Rob started backing up the car, Gabriel screamed "Blue not in car!". Rob stopped the car, found Blue on the backseat floor, and gave it to Gabriel. He was then happy. His carseat is in the middle of the backseat, but he doesn't have a very good view of the backseat around him.
