2008-12-10 9:28 AM 8 Years Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Content Read/Post Comments (4) As of today, I've been with Rob for 8 years. We started going out 8 years ago today. Wow. 8 years. It doesn't seem that long. When we first started dating we both lost some friends over our going out. I was friends with his ex and we started dating about three months after they broke up. There were rumors that we were together before they broke up and that I "stole" him from her, but none of those were true. In actuality, we had been friends since 1995 and were only friends up until December 10, 2000. Granted, we were good friends, which is probably why the relationship blossomed as it did. I regret none of it. Losing a few friends, in the end, was worth being with the man I'm supposed to be with. Now we're married and have a Poopchuck to show for it. Wow. The way we started dating was a bit odd. We had gone clubbing with Berek and Al and were fairly drunk when we got back to my place. Rob usually crashed at my place when we got back late and he kissed me spontaneously (though he claims he did so because his Grand Marnier shot nearly killed him). The next morning, he didn't remember kissing me, but he asked if he could kiss me. When I told him that he had the night before, he was kind of embarassed. It was so cute. I drove him to a game and we talked about things on the way there and decided we'd give going out a shot. Our relationship progressed rather quickly and "I love you" had been said within the first month of dating. Within only a few months, I knew he was the one for me. We moved in together in January of 2002 and were married in March of 2003. So yeah, I've been with Rob for 8 years now. ----------

Cubism was a 20th century avant-garde movement, pioneered by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. It revolutionized European art and inspired changes in music and literature. The first branch of cubism, known as Analytic Cubism. It was both radical and influential as a short but highly significant art movement between 1908 and 1911 mainly in France. In its second phase, Synthetic Cubism, (using synthetic materials in the art) the movement spread and remained vital until around 1919.
