2008-12-17 10:35 AM Holiday Questions Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (1) 1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate. I like egg nog, but it's way too rich for me and I can only take a few sips of it before becoming nauseous.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Almost all of the presents (whether from Santa or not) get wrapped. They're only not wrapped if they're far too big or cumbersome to wrap. 3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Colored lights. 4. Do you hang mistletoe? No. 5. When do you put your decorations up? Ideally we try to do this over Thanksgiving weekend. However, with as crazy busy as things have been recently, we have yet to find the time to put the tree, stockings, or any other holiday decorations up. 6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Mashed potatoes. 7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: Being able to spend time with my grandmothers. We would have our holiday dinner over at Nana's, then my Dad and I would head out to see a movie that night. The next day we would head over to Eleanor's house. 8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I don't remember how old I was, but I know I belived in Santa longer than I would have because my parents had someone dress up as Santa and stop by the house on Xmas eve with a gift for me when I started doubting. 9.Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve? Usually just one per person. The rest get opened on Xmas. 10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Colored lights and unbreakable ornaments that are cat and toddler safe. 11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? If I can stay inside, I love it. I only dread it if I have to head out and drive in it. 12. Can you ice skate? Nope. I tried to as a kid, but I have ankle problems and they tend to collapse on me when I wear skates. 13. Do you remember your favorite gift? My favorite gift I got last year, Rob paid for me to get an amazing nightmare (black horse with flames for its mane and tail) tattoo. 14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Being able to spend time with my family and see my Mom. 15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Probably pumpkin pie, though I'm not really into desserts all that much. 16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Doing the drive through light show in the park in Dubuque. I don't know why, but I absolutel LOVE that. 17. What tops your tree? We usually put Zero (the dog from Nightmare Before Christmas) on top of our tree. 18. What is your favorite Christmas/Holiday Song? Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, though I really do hate Xmas music. 19. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Yum. 20. Fruit cake! Yuck or Yum? I've never had it before, though I'd be inclined to say yuck.
