I'm very happy, my Nana seems to be doing very well after her surgery. She had her surgery last Friday and was released from the hospital the very next day.

A nurse is coming by to check on her wound, and they think that the stitches will be removed on Monday.

She's been given a prescription cream that is taking away the bruising on her hands and arms (caused by being on the blood thinner and having very thin skin at her age) that seems to be working. She was also give an antihistimine to stop her skin from itching.

She is up and walking around with her walker and making sure to keep her foot that had the toe removed elevated. She is in great spirits and the shooting pains that she had been having going up her leg are gone. They think this was caused by the dormant toe infection. Apparently it can lay dorment for years and takes something to bring it out. Instead of most infections which happen from the outside in, this one happened from the inside out.

So, I'm very happy to report that my Nana is doing great and it hasn't even been a full week since her surgery! Yay Nana!

In other news, I had to drug myself to sleep last night. When I tried to sleep, my body started uncontrollably shaking. Ugh. I finally fell asleep around 2am.
