Mood:
Happy

Just in case I don't post until tomorrow evening or later, I wanted to wish you all a very merry Xmas (or a happy whatever holiday you might celebrate at this time of year).

Today was good. Gabriel slept in until 9am (which was good because Rob and I stayed up until 2am the night before, wrapping his presents) and after getting up and showered we headed out. We made a run to Fresh Market to pick up our dinner for tomorrow night and then grabbed some lunch and headed back home.

My Mom did indeed make it here today, but what is normally a three hour drive turned out to be a five hour drive because of bad weather. It was snowing for most of the day and she made sure to take it slow coming out here. She stopped off to visit with my Nana and then headed to our place.

A little while after she got here, we got dressed and headed out for dinner. She made a run into Boston Store to grab some perfume for my Nana and then we headed to Fleming's for dinner. None of us had ever been there before, but we heard great things about it (it's a prime steakhouse). Oh my god, it was amazing. We all split a seafood tower for the appetizer, I had a peppercorn filet mignon for dinner, and some berries for dessert. They had my favorite red wine (Jordon Cabernet) and so my Mom and I split a bottle (Rob was driving, so he only had a taste). Dinner was absolutely incredible.

After dinner we headed back to our place and opened a few gifts. Gabriel, Rob, and I got to open what was in our stockings and my Mom got to open a present from Gabriel. Gabriel was very happy with getting a stocking full of Pokemon and wanted to open even more presents. He doesn't like that he has to wait until tomorrow to open the rest. Though we did fold and let him open a DVD and are now watching Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf.

Right now we're watching the Scooby Doo movie and are chilling out around the house while Gabriel is showing my Mom all of his new Pokemon.
