I like the cold. If you know me, you know that I'm a penguin. Cold is good, which is one of the reasons I never liked the weather in Los Angeles. If it's above 70, it's too hot out. My ideal weather is around 40-60. However, I can tolerate colder weather better than anyone I know. I don't usually bother to wear a coat, even when it's in the 20's out (though I will wear a thick sweater). But this is ridiculous, even for me.

Yes, I like the cold. Yes, I am a penguin. But... it's -11 out right now. NEGATIVE ELEVEN. And it's only supposed to get colder as the week goes on. Yeah, this is too cold for me.

It doesn't help that our apartment is drafty. This is a bitch in the summer because the air conditioning can't keep up and we can never get it below 70 (and are lucky to get it below 78 on the really hot days). In the winter, I don't mind so much. I have the heat set at 66 during the day and 64 at night and that's fine by me. Normally, it works just fine and I like it a bit chilly in here. But when it's -11 out, even the heat can't keep up with it. I'm currently wearing long sleeves in the house.

Also, I like the snow, but the amounts we've been getting have been insanely excessive. Cold is good, snow is good... but I think I could do without any more snow this winter and maybe up the temps by about 30.
