Squee!!!!! I am a very happy Jen right now. There are a few shows in the 80's that I absolutely LOVED when I was a kid. One of them (that remains an all time favorite to this day) was Freddy's Nightmares. It was a TV show hosted by Freddy Krueger. Some of the episodes were Freddy related and some were just unique horror episodes, but I remember they rocked. The show only lasted for two seasons and I've been wanting to see them again for a very long time. They're out on DVD, but only Region 2 encoded, and I have an American DVD player that can only play Region 1 DVDs. There are no plans to ever bring it to American DVD. *growl* Apparently some of the episodes were played on a horror channel that Direct Tv has, but alas I have cable. So, I occasionally do an internet search to see if I can find any episodes on the web. Until recently, I've had no luck. However, all that has changed.

Some god out there has put all of the episodes up onto YouTube. Sure, it's broken down into 10 minute segments and the quality isn't the best, but I don't care. They're there. I've been watching them and even as an adult, I still love that show. I really wish they would be brought to Region 1 DVD because I'd buy them in a heartbeat, I'd love to own them.

This got me to thinking of searching for another show I really liked (and no one has ever heard of). It was a sci-fi show called Otherworld that was so bad, it was good. It was about a family who was transported to an alternate dimension via a pyramid in Egypt during a planetary alignment. They spent their time running around in this new world and trying not to be caught by a Nazi-like soldier. It only ran for 8 episodes (though 13 were made, no one has ever seen those last 5). Well, it's not on YouTube, but the complete episodes are on the web. I'll be watching those when I finish up with Freddy's Nightmares.

I love the internet.

You Are a Rat Catcher
Not the most glamorous job in the world, but the Middle Ages weren't exactly glamourous!
You have the skills, intelligence, and craftiness to be a successful rat catcher.

You are willing to take risks and go to some pretty sketchy places in the name of your career.
In modern times, you would make a good detective, pilot, or firefighter.
