2009-05-08 9:21 AM Bug Boy Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: *meep* Read/Post Comments (3) As you all probably know by now, I hate bugs of all kinds. In this apartment, we tend to get two things - silverfish and spiders. I'm not sure which creep me out more. Normally, it would be spiders, however, silverfish look like weird alien bugs and move *really* fast. So I'll just say that I can't stand both and usually scream loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear when I see one. In many ways, Gabriel is obviously my son. His light hair, his fair skin, some of his features, etc. His ability to read "Cthulhu" and correctly pronounce "Nyarlathotep". Even his love of all things vampire and zombies. Definitely my kid. So I was shocked when I found out that the kid likes bugs - a lot. Last night I nearly had a heart attack. I was in the bathroom and taking my asthma medication pill. I looked up to swallow and saw a spider on the area above the bathroom counter. I screamed out "Bug! Bug, bug, bug, bug, bug..." and Rob came in with the bug wand to get it. He sucked the spider into the bug wand and on the way to the toilet to flush it, Gabriel wanted to see it. Okay, no big I thought, he's just curious. He looked at the spider crawling around in the bug wand... and then wanted us to release it and give it to him to play with! He wanted to play with the spider! Can I just say ew here? That gave me a big case of the wiggins. So, Rob took it to the toilet and flushed it down. When Gabriel realized what was happening, he said "poor spider" and then freaked out. He had an absolute temper tantrum (that lasted about two hours until he finally passed out from sheer exhaustion for the night around 11pm) that we flushed the spider and wouldn't give it to him to play with. I am in so much trouble with the way this kid likes bugs. I need to make sure to keep him away from bugs because I know someday he'll find one and try to show it to me or give it to me as a present. I love having a boy, most of the time, but could he be a little less of a boy when it comes to bugs? ----------
Does the name say it all? You are stubborn and a good friend. You are a bit of a loner to people around you but show your true sweetness with friends and loved-ones. You aren't afraid to show who you are you just choose not too. Be yourself, it will always be okay. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
