2009-08-31 10:16 AM Doctors Appointments and Weekend Stuff Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: So-So Read/Post Comments (3) Mom came over around 4pm on Thursday and we chilled out around the apartment until Rob got home from work. Once Rob was home, he and I headed to dinner at The Melting Pot and Mom babysat Gabriel. We missed Big Brother, but it was worth it in order to have a nice dinner out with my husband (and it helps that fondue is my favorite food). Besides, she was able to tell us who got kicked off and the basics of what happened.
Friday I had a vet appointment for Sydney in the morning and a doctors appointment for myself in the afternoon.
Mom stayed at home with Gabriel while I took Sydney to his biannual vet check up. Things went well and now I'm waiting to hear back on his blood work to make sure he's still all healthy.
Mom drove me to my doctors appointment in the afternoon and chilled out in the car (and did some driving around) with Gabriel during my appointment. Things did not go well at my doctors appointment and my health is even worse than I thought it was. I'll make a private entry after this one detailing what's going on with me. It's not something I want the general public to know about.
Friday night we tried to head to Fuddrucker's for dinner, but it was full up and we didn't want to wait forever for a table with Gabriel with us. So, for the first time ever, we took Gabriel to Chuck E Cheese's. He LOVED it. We got a table near the screens and the large animatronic rat and had pizza for dinner. Gabriel ate pizza and LOVED the animatronic Chuck E. He's too young for the games, but loved the show. I ended up getting him a stuffed Chuck E Cheese and a ball with the character on it when we headed out.
Saturday morning I had to get up early and headed over to get my hair done at the salon. Unfortunately, I couldn't drive myself there because one of the side effects of a new medication that I'm on is dizziness. So, Rob took me there while my Mom stayed at the apartment with Gabriel. He then headed back home.
My hair was done the same color I've been for awhile now and I got the same somewhat short cut that's shorter in the back and longer in the front. It's kind of a 1920's flapper style and I love how it looks on me. When my appointment was over, Rob headed back out to pick me up and bring me back home.
When I got back home it was time for my Mom to head out. So, we hugged and she headed out to visit with my Nana before heading back to her place.
Gabriel does not take well to my Mom leaving, so we took him to Fuddrucker's for lunch. He loved that. It was then time to get the errands done.
We went to the Fresh Market, Babies R Us, Honey Baked Ham, the game store, and then came home to drop stuff off. We then headed to another game store and then did our big weekly shop at Pick N Save. We brought the food home to put away and stayed in for the rest of the night. Dinner was our Honey Baked Ham and we gamed.
Sunday we headed out and grabbed some lunch at Taco Bell. We made a run to a local seasonal Halloween store that didn't have all of its merchandise in. I didn't find anything cute for Gabriel (though I am tempted to either get him a werewolf or spider costume I found online), but I did let him pick out a rubber snake. I also got some horns and spirit gum to attach them with for myself since I have yet to find a single costume that fits me... anywhere.
We then headed home for a bathroom stop and took Gabriel out to Baskin Robbins for some ice cream. I love ice cream and it sucked that I couldn't have any. Meh. From there we made a stop at Walgreens and a quick stop at the Clinique counter at Boston Store. We then decided to take Gabriel to Chuck E Cheese's for dinner once more. We munched on pizza and let Gabriel watch the show and then headed out when we were done.
Later that night we watched Big Brother and one of the Firefly episodes on DVD (Out of Gas). I'm slowly but surely having Rob watch all of them.
