Really Good Weekend

I don't know why, but last weekend, especially Saturday, was really good. Not much was done other than errands, and yet, it was fun.

I got the call back from the vet on Friday. Sydney is in the beginning stages of renal failure. However, we're catching it very early. For now, his diet is to consist exclusively of both dry and wet k/d (kidney diet) prescription food. He doesn't need meds yet. We'll see how he's doing on the food come his next check up in February.

Friday night when Rob got home from work we did some gaming.

Saturday was our usual day of errands. We went to the vet's place to pick up Sydney's new k/d food and then grabbed lunch at Taco Bell. We went to Fresh Market for some food stuffs and ended up getting a great deal on rib eye steaks. Some are in the freezer and some we cooked up for dinner on Sunday night. We went to Babies R Us and then the drug store as well.

We dropped everything off at home and then ran out to Pick N Save for our main grocery shop. Later that night, we headed out to dinner at the Friday's in Miller Park. Gabriel loves it there since it overlooks the baseball stadium. The Brewers gift shop was open and we were able to get Gabriel a long sleeve sweatshirt.

We then headed back out and made a stop at Halloween Express on the way back home. Gabriel loves Halloween as much as I do and loved looking all around the store. He already has his Halloween costume for this year - a spider - but he ended up getting a plastic rat while we were there. We then grabbed some drinks at Caribou and made a run to Best Buy.

When we headed back home, we watched our DVD of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Gabriel tried his best to stay awake for it.

Sunday we chilled out around the house for a bit and then headed out. I made a run to Avenue to look for some long sleeve shirts, but didn't find anything I liked. We then stopped at Target and Gabriel made out like a bandit with some new Pokemon stuffies. We grabbed drinks at Caribou and then came home.

Last night we cooked two of the ribeye steaks for dinner, watched The Amazing Race, and did some gaming.

You Think Best at a Coffee Shop
In order to be able to think, you sometimes have to pull yourself out of a rut. All it takes is a change of scenery.
You are inspired by any one of your senses. The smell of coffee, the taste of a latte, the feel of a comfy sofa, the sounds of conversation...

For you, there's no such thing as too much stimulation. If anything is a creativity killer, it's dead quiet.
The bustle and changing scenery of a coffee shop prevents your mind from being hung up on one or two things. A dynamic atmosphere gets your ideas flowing.
