Last night just plain sucked. First off, we had to make sure to keep Sydney out of the bedroom. He hasn't pooped again since last night, so I don't know if he still has diarrhea or not. Until I see a solid poop from him, he's not going in the bedroom. Because he didn't have bedroom access, he spent the entire night meowing.

Also, I'm getting sick. I had a sore throat on and off while at my Mom's place and thought nothing of it. Well, last night it turned into the beginning of a cold. Sore throat, stuffy nose, runny nose, lots of sneezing, and a lot of coughing. Ugh. I took some NyQuil to ease the symptoms and help me sleep. I should have taken DayQuil because NyQuil plus almost no sleep makes for a barely functional Jen.

Gabriel woke up just as Rob and I were going to bed. He started freaking out from a nightmare. I don't think it was night terrors because he did fully wake up, but damn was he scared. He wanted to be in the living room with the light and the TV on. He also just curled up on me, shaking the entire time. He was really scared and seemed worried about monsters. So, I gave him the blue dragon I got him for Xmas and told him that dragons were great at keeping monsters away - monsters were scared of them. He kept ahold of that dragon for the rest of the night.

It wasn't until around 2am when we were able to get him into the bed. And even then the TV had to be on and he would try to stay awake and move around every few minutes. The lack of sleep plus the NyQuil has me knocked on my ass today.

I got, maybe, and hour of sleep total in tiny little bits and pieces. Today, I'm an absolute wreck.

I was going to head out tonight to the post office, but I don't think driving is a good idea. So, I might wait until tomorrow to take my car out and make the post office run. Besides, I need to pick up more k/d cat food at the vet tomorrow anyway.

I'm so freaking tired. And you know Gabriel won't be napping today even though he didn't get good sleep last night either.
