Today is Rob's work from home day so I was able to get a few things done outside of the house this morning while he watched Gabriel.

I was unable to get my car out at all yesterday because of the snow storm. I believe all in all we got more than 9 inches in our city. Rob was let home from work early because of it.

I was very happy when my car started this morning and took it for a ride to make sure the battery got charged up. The roads weren't plowed anywhere near as good as I had hoped and it was rough going in some spots. Yet anothe reason I'm happy to have an SUV - snow.

After driving it around for a bit I made a run to the bank to deposit a check and then headed back home for a bit.

About an hour later I headed out again, this time with Sydney, to take him to his vet check up appointment.

Everything looks good with Sydney and right now I'm just waiting on the bloodwork results to see if the k/d is doing its thing when it comes to his kidneys. Hopefully, they're not much worse and he won't need meds for them yet.

They checked Sydney's blood pressure for the first time because kidney problems can lead to hypertension, but it all checked out fine.

They also told me (since he's a goat and likes to eat any human food he can get his paws on) to keep him away from chicken, turkey, beef, and other protein, but that things like fries are just fine (in moderation of course). With kidney problems, he needs to be on a high carb / low protein diet. That's pretty much what his k/d food is. Good to know.

I should be getting the blood work results back tomorrow. Before I headed out, I picked up some more cans of the wet k/d food. He's good for the dry stuff for now.

After the vet appointment I headed back home. Rob and I just munched on lunch and now Gabriel is downstairs with me while Rob is up working in the loft.
