You know the saying "when it rains, it pours"? Yeah, it's true. Apparently, so is the saying "bad things always come in threes". Well, at least in this particular situation they're true.

First, I broke my rib. Then, Gabriel fell and had to be rushed to the ER. Now, I managed to slice my thumb open while trying to crack some crab legs. The cut itself isn't super bad, I'm not even getting it checked out. However, it's on the pad of my thumb. So it keeps re-opening all the time, hurts, and gets hairs slicing through it when I shower and wash my hair. I can't stand having any wounds on the pads of my fingers, it's why when I need to check my blood sugar I do so on my arm. So, this cut is a particularly sucky one. Minor compared to Gabriel's ER trip and my broken rib, but yet another injury. Oy.

In other news, Gabriel is cute. Yes, we all know this, but I was referring to a specific conversation he had with a woman while we were in the Carter's outlet. The woman was carrying some dresses and he asked about them. She said that they were for her daughter, who was at home with her grandpa. Gabriel's response: "They like. You good mommy."
