Gabriel:

Gabriel did very well at pre-school. In fact, they said that had we not told him that he had never been in a daycare environment, they wouldn't have known that. He fit right in with the other kids just fine. He loved looking at bugs and playing out on the monkey bars. He even made himself a pharaoh's hat (it was Discovering Egypt day). He had no problems with my not being around and there were no tears all day long. He wasn't willing to sit still as long as the other kids were, but that didn't come as a surprise to me. He didn't eat anything all day long, but did drink five glasses of milk. I warned them he was a super picky eater (on the occasions he actually wants to eat). All in all it was a success and he's looking forward to going again next Tuesday.

One thing I want to find out more about. He keeps telling us that he made a friend named Luma. But, from what we know, there's no kid named Luma in his class. He says it's a girl and that she's blonde. So, we're going to see if there's anyone with a name close to that in his class or see if he can point out his new friend to us.

Dad:

As I've previously mentioned, my father was in the hospital for a week with pneumonia. At a follow up visit with the pulmonologist they also found an abscess in his lung. Well, there's more to it now as well.

He had a lung x-ray last week and there was something they didn't like, so he also had to have a biopsy. The biopsy came back this morning and the results were good. It's not cancer. It is, however, some very badly infected tissue. Hopefully, antibiotics and the like can clear that up for him quickly.

Nana:

Just as she was about to be discharged from the hospital, her regular doctor came back from vacation. He didn't like the way her knee was still looking (swollen) and feeling (very painful) and so he ordered an MRI on it. It would seem that the MRI caught a fracture that the x-ray did not. So, they're stabilizing that. As of now, I believe she's still in the hospital.

The dolphin protects and guides you. Like the dolphin you are probably very intelligent and spirited. However your thirst for popularity could be your undoing.
