I got the call from the vet yesterday. Sydney's blood work and urine sample looked good. His thyroid is normal (which means the weight loss is not from a medical reason) and the k/d food us keeping his kidneys in a normal range. Not only are they not degenerating any further, but that food was able to make them function normally again. He's a very healthy kitty, especially for being fifteen.

The only even remote concern she had was for his weight. He's down again and very skinny. I told her that we free feed him the dry k/d, but he hates the wet. Back when he was on normal food he's get both wet and dry, but since the k/d canned is a pate and not chunks, he will rarely eat it. She looked into it and said that there's another brand of a kidney healthy diet out there that makes a chunky canned food. So, they're ordering that for me and hopefully Sydney will eat that and gain a bit of weight.

I'm very happy that Sydney is still healthy, especially at his age.
