Friday night, we had some interesting activity in our neck of the woods. Rob and I were watching a Netflix movie on the laptop ("Lo", which I highly recommend if you're into indy films) and I heard a small pop and saw some smoke come from outside. I thought someone was setting off fireworks. A few seconds later, there was a loud explosion and a giant plume of black smoke. That, I knew, was not fireworks and was not good. Rob and I headed out onto the balcony (Gabriel was already asleep for the night) and saw fire and black smoke coming from the area of an apartment complex across the field from our apartment. We were going to call 911, but we heard the sirens coming already. The fire department is super close by and they must have seen (or heard) the explosion when it happened. We kept an eye on the area and the field to make sure the fire didn't start coming our way. It looked like the apartment complex across the field was on fire and had blown up, but since it was dark and at a distance we couldn't see for sure. Eventually the fire fighters killed off the fire and both the fire and the black smoke stopped. Though, we were inside well before this since the smoke in the air outside was beginning to mess with my asthma. Curiosity, combined with the concern that the fumes might be toxic, prompted Rob to drive over to the area when we could tell that the fire had been out for awhile. He spoke with one of the cops in the area. Apparently, someone's car had blown up. Luckily, it wasn't that apartment complex and they had stopped the fire before it could move to the apartments or any other cars. We don't know more about that, but the explosion was a car blowing up and all the fire and smoke were from that. Oddly enough, there wasn't a single thing in the news about any of this. Weird. ----------
You scored 25 Aggression and 60 Silliness!
You're the Smurfs! Those crazy little blue buggers who run around the forest and live in little mushroom houses. You're perky, plucky and clever. You always manage to solve your own problems, and you do it without violence. Sometimes, however, you're almost TOO much of a pushover...
