2010-09-15 2:33 PM DMV Day Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: So-So Read/Post Comments (1) Gabriel had another good day at pre-school yesterday. At first, he said he didn't want to go, but when Rob dropped him off he seemed to be fine. He even took Rob to show him his favorite toy (an iguana that he liked to put on a swing). When I picked him up he was working on building a tower. One of his little girl groupies came over to help him. Apparently he gets along best with the girls and even has some girls who are his groupies and have crushes on him. It's adorable. He doesn't like the CDs they have there and hates having them on during naptime. Looks like he's not a fan of kids music. He also doesn't eat a damn thing there (though he does drink milk and apple juice) so when he gets home, he's starving. When I brought him home yesterday I made him some popcorn before dinner and we played the Superhero Squad version of Chutes and Ladders for about an hour. Apparently, both the chutes and the ladders allow him to go up... but for me they both go down. I think I need to get Candyland at some point. He and I should both enjoy that. Today I had to renew my driver's license. My last picture made me look like a five hundred pound albino and I really wanted this picture to be better. So, I headed to my hair salon and got a blow out so that I knew my hair would look good. Kylie got a laugh out of that, but understood it totally. Oh, and she's having a boy so we need to go through Gabriel's old clothes, I offered them to her and she's interested. After getting my hair done I headed over to the DMV. The line was fairly long (though not nearly as long as a California DMV line), but I eventually got up front. I passed the eye exam (whew, my glasses are old) and then got my picture taken and got my new license. The picture does indeed look better than the old one, however, there is one thing I don't like about it. My eyes are closed. *sigh* I think I'm just cursed for bad driver's license pictures. Still, even with the closed eyes, it's better than what I had before. They also take the picture in a super close up so that looks rather odd. Anyway, I'm set for another eight years before having to do that again. After that I headed back home. Today is Rob's work from home day so he was able to watch Gabriel while I was gone. ----------
