Saturday we grabbed lunch at Loaf and Jug and then headed to the Fresh Market for some shopping. Later in the day we took Gabriel to his first (kind of) haunted house. One of the local haunted houses has a "lights on tour" in the afternoon. It's the haunted house with the lights on, tour guides, and no monsters inside of it (except for the props). This is so parents can see if their kid is remotely ready for a real (and scary) haunted house. Gabriel loved it. None of the props scared him and at some times (like when the strobe lights were going) he was laughing. We asked him if he was ready for a scary haunted house that was dark and had people dressed as monsters in it and he said yes. So, perhaps this year we'll take Gabriel to his first real haunted house. If not this year, then definitely next year. He seems to be ready for it.

After the haunted house we headed into Milwaukee and grabbed some middle eastern food for dinner. Later that night, we watched our Netflix DVD rental of the remake of The Crazies. It was actually rather good, though I've never seen the original. Gasp. I know. I do fully plan on now seeing the original at some point.

Sunday we did our main grocery shopping at Pick and Save and grabbed lunch at the Loaf and Jug again. I love their soup. We also made a quick run to the Fresh Market so I could pick up something I had forgotten to get the day before. Rob made a run into Toys R Us to get Gabriel some play doctor's supplies (Gabriel now wants to be a doctor). We grabbed some donuts at HoneyDip and then grabbed dinner as take out from a Chinese restaurant. We were going to game last night, but Rob was felt ill so we just watched The Amazing Race.
