As you all probably know by now, I hate bugs. It doesn't matter what kind of bug it is, I hate it. Well, it's boxelder season around here. I never even knew what a boxelder beetle was until I moved out here. I never saw a single one back in Los Angeles, but out here, they're everywhere. And I do mean everywhere.

They cover our entire apartment building. They're all over our garage door and in our garage. They cover the front door (which makes getting delivered packages very icky). Some get inside the apartment. But the worst is our screened in balcony. It never was constructed right and bugs can get in on occasion. In summer we'll have a few wasps out there sometimes. But now, wow. There are probably between fifty and one hundred of these boxelder beetles in our screened in balcony. So, we won't be using the grill for awhile. Eventually, when the weather gets cold enough, we'll have to vacuum their little bug corpses out of there.

It's really, really creepy just how many of these beetles are around here. It's like something out of a horror movie.
