So, I have a lot to write, but not a lot of time to do it in. Hrm.

For those wondering where I've been, Rob took some vacation time and we headed out to my Mom's place for my birthday.

We headed out to her place on Sunday (I drove) and stopped for lunch at Wendy's on the way out. The detour was gone, so the ride was rather uneventful. We chilled out around her house on Sunday night and she made chili for dinner. We also watched The Amazing Race.

On Monday I had an appointment for my new tattoo. The appointment was for 2pm and I didn't get out of there until a little after 8pm. It's a big one - a tiger on the outside of my left thigh. Yes, this one did hurt. After being tattooed for that long, it's going to hurt. A lot. I also totally jacked my left hip and my spine from the various contortionist positions I had to get into in order for Gary to do the tattoo. Ouch.

After getting the tattoo done (and even though it's all bruised and red now, when it heals it will be amazing) we headed to Los Aztecas for dinner. It was one of the few places still open after 8pm in Galena and it's also very yummy.

Tuesday was my 36th birthday. We headed to Dubuque and were going to go to the aquarium, but there were some complications and that ended up not happening. So, we just checked out Borders and headed to dinner.

We had dinner at The Log Cabin in Galena and dinner was very good. When we got home I got presents. My Mom got me money, Rob got me a new watch, and Gabriel got me a book and two DVDs (the new Night of the Demons that I've been wanting and the third Lost Boys sequel). Rob and Gabriel also got me some new body wash and a pillow pets penguin.

We put on the Night of the Demons remake DVD, but weren't able to get all of the way through it. From this point on, my birthday sucked. I started hurting all over. Every inch of my body hurt and I was getting super cold. I checked and I had a fever. So, I went to bed. Still shivering I had on my slippers, pants, a t-shirt, a hoodie, and over me I had a sheet, a quilt, a down blanket, and a fleece blanket and was still freezing.

Tuesday night was miserable with the fever. I got almost no sleep and was shivering and cold the entire night. Until right before it was time to get up and I couldn't stop sweating. I think that's when the fever finally broke.

I wasn't feeling too good today, but I drove my car out there and so I was the one to drive back. It was rather uncomfortable, but the drive was uneventful and now we're back home.

I had a rather large disappointment upon arriving home. Coach had a shoe sale recently and I was able to get a really cute pair of sneakers for around half price. I was told they were delivered on Monday. I have the delivery confirmation from FedEx that they were delivered on Monday, but no package is outside. We checked all over outside and even asked all of our neighbors, and nothing. I have no idea where they are or if they were stolen, but I'm really pissed off. A lot of the birthday money that my Mom gave me and my Dad sent to me is going to bills that need to be paid (especially since soon I'll be getting a slew of medical bills) and I wanted to spend some on those sneakers (especially since they were such a good deal). I am so pissed off about this.

I send Coach an e-mail and they just told me that there was delivery confirmation for our front door. So, legally they're not responsible. I'm now out money and don't have the sneakers I wanted. Very pissed/sad/upset/disappointed.

So yeah, that's been the past few days in a nutshell. I have my flu shot tomorrow (probably, if I'm not running a fever then) and we'll be getting errands done tomorrow as well.

I want my f*cking sneakers.
