2010-11-03 1:27 PM Election Day Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Content Read/Post Comments (0) Yesterday I spent most of my time catching up on things that have been backing up for the time we were on vacation. I also made a run to the bank, voted, picked Gabriel up from pre-school, and took Gabriel to get his flu shot. I think he's the only kid who likes going to the doctor's office and who isn't bothered at all by getting a shot. So, all in all I'm happy with the election results, especially for my state. Walker won the Governor seat and Johnson won the Senate seat. I was very happy with both of those wins. Local initiatives went well too, our school is getting some aid and it looks like our city and village will be merging. On a national level, I'm happy that the Repubicans now have control over the house. Hopefully that will help keep Obama in check. I'm a bit horrified that Jerry Brown is the new Governor of California and I have to say I'm very happy I no longer live there. He scares the hell out of me. So yeah, all in all I think the elections went well this year. I'm excited to see what the elections in 2012 brings and I really hope that the Republicans can get their stuff together well enough to bring a good and well qualified candidate to run against Obama.
