Had my doctor's appointment this morning and while it was originally for something else, it turned into checking my lungs out.

About two weeks ago, I got a cold (so did Rob and Gabriel and I think Gabriel brought it home with him from pre-school). For the two of them, it was a minor cold. For me, when the cold went away I ended up with laryngitis and bronchitis. When those went away, I still had a cough and there was pain in my chest when I coughed or breathed in. I was also getting the chills, had no appetite, was dizzy, and kind of out of it (still am). I got checked out today and it seems I have pneumonia in my left lung. I'm on two different meds for that. One is a Hydrocodone/Homatropine cough syrup and the other is Azithromycin as an antibiotic.

I've been told that it will take 2-3 weeks for all of this to completely clear and until that time I need to take it easy, get lots of rest, and drink lots of fluids.

Joy, I get pneumonia for the holidays. Meh.
