2011-02-01 3:19 PM Snowpocalypse: Day Two Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) It's been snowing since yesterday morning. I don't have an exact total of what we've gotten as of yet, but eyeballing it, it's probably around 5 inches. The plows seem to have been keeping up well. Our street and even our apartment complex are regularly being plowed out. Still, it's not safe to drive out there unless it's absolutely necessary. With the snow and the blowing wind, even if the roads are plowed, it's still dangerous driving conditions. Not to mention the fact that we have a blizzard headed our way that will be arriving very soon and is expected to dump another 15 inches on us. Ouch. Rob had the option of working from home today because of the storm and he chose to take it. Gabriel stayed home from preschool as well. If neither of us have to drive out, we're not going to. I took my car out for a nice run yesterday in case I couldn't take it out today or tomorrow. I have a feeling the next time any of us will be taking our cars out again will be on Thursday when this is over with. When we called the preschool to say that Gabriel would be absent, they told us it was that way with most of the kids. Seems there's not many who made it in today. I'm surprised they're even open. Those who didn't have the work from home option that Rob had are already out of work. They did a total building wide evacuation at 2:30. So, that's where we stand now. The worst is yet to come.
