I had my follow up doctor appointment today. I'm still sick as hell (in fact, I don't remember ever being this sick before), but the antibiotics seem to be doing their job, so I'm allowed to try and tackle this at home and I don't need to be in the hospital. That's a huge sigh of relief on my part.

The doctor said it will take 4-6 weeks for this to fully go away and that's if I don't get another cold or flu or something else to set me back. She also said that I should start really feeling better in about two weeks. So, it looks like slowly but surely it's all up hill from here.

I don't need the Tylenol anymore, even without it the fever seems to be gone and the mucus I'm coughing up has gone from a dark brownish yellow to a lighter yellow, so I guess that shows that the antibiotics are doing their job in fighting off the infection.

I have other things on my mind that are concerning me right now, but I'm trying to push those thoughts out of my head and just deal with getting better. Once that's done, I can worry about the other things going on in my life. One step at a time, and the first step is to get over this nightmare of sick.
