Gabriel had really bad diarrhea and it was not fun for either of us. I went through many packs of wipes trying to keep him clean, many loads of laundry trying to clean up the mess, and well... wow. It hasn't been this bad since he was a baby. Needless to say, I let him wear a pull up for the day. I'd rather deal with him in a pull up than having that happen in his underpants. He kept trying to make it to the bathroom, and couldn't. Usually, it would come out in the hallway when he was running to the potty. Finally, I just told him that when he's sick accidents are more likely to happen, so if he poops his pants it's understandable. Rob got home during the worst of it - when Gabriel needed an immediate shower. It had gone down his legs, up his back, up his front, etc. While Rob gave Gabriel a shower, I had to throw my clothes into the wash because they were covered in it as well. You think you're beyond this when they're out of the baby stage. Nope, not if they get sick and can't make it to the toilet. Oy. So, that was my day yesterday. I'm calling it Poopstorm 2011. Just proves that Gabriel's nickname of the Poopchuck still stands. Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
