Gabriel wanted scrambled eggs for lunch today, so I made sure I had everything that was needed for the eggs I make in the house (eggs, milk, salt, pepper, Tabasco sauce, butter, and cheese). He helped me cook the eggs and helped to add the ingredients in. He had a blast doing it and loved helping to cook. Since he's watched me do this before, he could even tell me when to put in what ingredient and reminded me he likes LOTS of cheese in it.

The odd thing was that when we were done cooking, he decided to ignore the eggs. They're just sitting on the table next to a cup of his juice. He drinks the juice on and off, but isn't caring much about the eggs. This is normal for him. He doesn't eat a lot, even if he says he wants something it usually ends up ignored.

I really think he liked cooking the eggs way more than he likes the thought of actually eating them. It's the same way in his cooking classes at preschool. He'll make the foods and love doing it, but not want to eat it.

Gabriel's current goal is to become a doctor and a chef. Heh. You know, I think I'm cool with either of those career goals for him. Of course, at his age I wanted to be an actress, an archeologist (dinosaur obsession), an astronaut, and a veterinarian.
