All in all, we had a very good Easter weekend. Rob took off of work Friday and Monday and we headed out to my Mom's place.

Friday:
We got out of our place around 1:30pm. The drive out to Galena was rather uneventful. We made a stop off at Wendy's for lunch and got to my Mom's place around 5:15pm or so. We headed out rather quickly to dinner. We went to Los Aztecas and as always, the food was great. I usually get the same dish there, it's a shrimp/mushroom/garlic thing that I haven't been able to find at any other Mexican restaurant. So yummy. After dinner we headed to my Mom's and just chilled out and watched some random things on TV.

Saturday:
We headed to the owner's club for an Easter egg hunt and kid's Easter party. It was kind of lame, so we ducked out after Gabriel got to do the hunt.
We stopped off at McDonalds for lunch and then made a Walmart run. I was able to find some more packs of Trop A Rocka Snapple there (yay) which was great since I haven't seen it in our stores at all recently. In fact, the only diet Snapple tea that our store has been carrying as of late is the lemon one.
From there we headed into Dubuque. Mom needed to head into Lowe's for a new fridge filter. Rob ran into a comic book store. And we had dinner at House of China. I love that place. It's definitely one of my all time favorite Chinese restaurants.
When we got back from Dubuque, we just hung out at my Mom's house for the night.

Sunday:
We spent most of the day hanging around the house. There wasn't much to do since pretty much everything was closed on Easter. Gabriel got his Easter basket full of various chocolate goodies and a stuffed bunny. He also got to do an Easter egg hunt around my Mom's house and loved it. The last thing he found was a really cute stuffed Easter pig.
Most everything was closed for dinner and the places that were open needed reservations. So, we decided to try a place we've wanted to for awhile - a new Chinese buffet in the area. It was really good. After dinner we headed back to my Mom's place, got some laundry done, and watched The Amazing Race and The Celebrity Apprentice.

Monday:
Monday we packed and got ready and headed out of my Mom's place around 1:30pm. The drive home was uneventful and I even slept some as Rob drove. When we got home I took my car out for a drive since it hadn't been driven in a few days and we went to our local Chinese buffet for dinner. We then worked on a new character idea for a game Rob will be running using the Pathfinder rules.
