Gah, Idiots

I do not like dumb people. I like them even less when they come into contact with me and I have to deal with them. Today, I had the distinct displeasure of dealing with two people who should never breed.

The first was found in my Ob/Gyn's office. I had an appointment this morning for my shot. This shot needs to be given every 11 weeks or bad things happening. Let's just say, what happens make the elevator doors opening in the Shining look like a picnic. Yeah, it's that bad.

Getting the shot went just fine and the nurse told me to make another appointment for my next shot sometime on October 11. So, I tried to do just that. Except the receptionist couldn't make the appointment or any appointments in October. Any other month (even further down the road) was fine - just not October. The computer system won't allow any bookings for that month. WHAT??? What about women who need paps then? What about pregnant women who need their routine prenatal care then? Seriously? You can't figure out how to make an appointment for any time in an entire month's span? *sigh*

I have my annual appointment over there next week. I'll try to make the October appointment then and pray that I can deal with someone who hasn't been recently lobotomized.

The second idiot of the day was found at my local CVS pharmacy. This was a pharmacy tech who didn't want to give mt the medication that was prescribed to me by my neurologist. The medication was prescribed for me to take when I had my dizzy spells. Because one of the possible side effects of this medication is "dizziness" (though a completely different form) he wanted to refuse it. I told him that the last medication prescribed for dizziness also listed it as a possible side effect and didn't work at all, so we were trying this one.

This guy then wanted me to tell him my history of the problem. Huh??? Um, what I've discussed with my regular doctor, my ENT, and my neurologist are none of his business. A pharmacy tech does not need to know everything I've gone through with this, the MRI results, etc.

I told him if he wanted to refuse it, fine. I'd then be calling my doctor and letting him know of the problem and of his name and they could hash it out. He grumbled and finally was willing to let me take it. So, not only does he fall under the realm of idiot, but he's also an asshole as well.

I hate having to deal with stupid people. I have a feeling my CVS is going to keep on sucking. Seems the real pharmacist who I've always liked quit because he could no longer deal with the incompetence of his staff (my doctor actually warned me of this when I told him which pharmacy to send the prescription to).

Oh, and I can't change pharmacies. Our prescription insurance is through CVS and that's the only one near me.
