2011-08-15 10:48 AM Final Destination 5 Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) Rob took the day off of work on Friday, so while Gabriel was in preschool, we saw the 12:05pm (first showing of the day) show of Final Destination 5. I've seen all of them in the theater - and almost went into labor in part 3 and yet still refused to leave. Anyway, this is my favorite series of movies and I wasn't about to miss this one. I'm so glad we saw it and I'm so glad we decided to do it in 3D. It was amazing. Definitely the best of the sequels - possibly on par with the original. The bridge collapse scene was incredible (especially in 3D) and the ending had my jaw on the floor. It was a shock. I don't want to give too much away, so I'll say this - while it's useful to have seen all the others, you don't have to. But, you do HAVE TO have seen the first one to understand something in this one. So, if you've seen the first one (and preferably the others as well), go and see this. It's well worth it. Of course, this is assuming you like horror movies and movies like this. In an interview, Tony Todd mentioned that if it opened at number one (which all the others did) that they were prepared to film part 6 and part 7 back to back. Unfortunately, it did not open at number one - it was number three (beat out by Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Help - yuck!). So, this might just be the last in the series. I hope it's not, but if it is, they did wrap up things nicely for it. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
