Over the past few days, the lump on Cupcake's cheek has been moving back towards his jaw. The doctors said this was normal, however, yesterday it started to get more and more swollen until it was about the size of a marble (there's a picture of this over on facebook). That was not normal. Of course, this had to happen at night. So, Gabriel went to my mom's again and we took Cupcake back to the animal ER.

Luckily, there was almost no one else there so we were seen right away. The abscess needed to be drained and they're also doing a culture on it to make sure that the antibiotics he's on will take care of the rest. Unfortunately, the doctor said it might need to be drained a second time.

My little sugar baby looks kind of better. The swelling is down, but that side of his face is all crusty and his right eye is still being forced shut. It makes me all sad looking at him. He's only twelve weeks old and should not have to go through this sort of pain.

I have an appointment on Wednesday with a local vet for him. Both for a wellness check and to tell them about this abscess and to make sure that it's healing properly.
