Mood: drug induced stupor Read/Post Comments (4) |
2005-10-26 7:32 PM Its been a while Ok, its been a while since my last post. We have just been busy with normal mundane stuff...until Monday. Monday night Paul and I sat down to discuss our budget, plans etc. Just a good coversation to make sure we stay on track. I start feeling...well...gassy. Paul gave me some tums and I went to bed to try to get some sleep. Tuesday morning, much pain. So I get up and go to work. I had a feeling something was wrong when my pants actually fit. (normally have have about 2 inches pinned at the waist) Call the Dr. as soon as they open. Survey says: emergency room. Sigh. After sitting in the ER for nearly 7 hours, I am diagnoed as having apendicitis, and moved to a room. Somewhere after 10pm I met a Doctor, and had surgery. Honestly, I really don't remember much. Paul says we got out of surgery/recovery around 2am. Released from the hospital this afternoon, and now resting on the couch. Paul left only once, and that was to pick up Jade from daycare and leave her with Jenn for the night. Paul is truly my hero this week. He stayed with me, held my hand and kept me calm. He also did all the phone calls, got me new pjs that don't irritate the incisions and has just been a wonderful spouse. He is also a bit tired. I am sure he will be able to post the funnier bits once we have all gotten some sleep. I had too many pain killers to remember much very clearly.
All is well now, I have a few days of recovery and back to work next week. Jade is being great. Now we just need to get some sleep! Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
