So the weather for the last few weeks has been...well...variable. It has gone from 80 to 35 several times. And tonight its supposed to go down into the 20's. Brr. And in response to that, and being single mom for almost 2 weeks, my body revolted and now I am sitting in bed with a cold. Thankfully Paul is home and taking care of Jade, so I can rest and inhale zicam. (I hope this stuff works!) So far its been annoying, but not incapacitating. And I get to sit in bed and play WOW.

In other news, all is well. Jade is doing great. She is learning her letters and numbers. We will be driving down the street and she will just yell out all of a sudden. "Mommy, Mommy!" What Jade? "A, I see A!" She is very good with her numbers. She can identify all the numbers, and now we are teaching her how to put them together. We have an advent calendar, so she is now up to 14. :) And this week in the pool she managed to float by herself for a little bit longer. Swim with just 2 fingers holding her up, and scare the lifeguards out of their minds. Its fun.

Its very nice to have Paul back. Although Jade is a bit miffed about being kicked out of our bed. (She sleeps with me when he is gone.) I think it is time to get her a big girl bed, finally. She really is getting too big (mentally) for the toddler bed.

Its hard to believe Christmas is right around the corner. Mom will be here in a few days. I had planned on doing a lot of cleaning this weekend...but oh well, maybe tomorrow if I feel better!
