Rebecca wants to get the cartilege in her ear pierced and Caitlin wants her lower lip pierced. I'm thinking about investigating trepanation, in the hope that having a hole drilled in my head might be easier than these parenting predicaments.

Senator Santorum is an embarrassment to Pennsylvania, to the United States and to men everywhere. It would be impossible to believe that so much dickheadness could possibly be crammed into one cranium unless you saw it for yourself. He is so fearful of change (in the form of gay men and women) that you can see him shaking when he contemplates the destruction of his fragile, narrow-minded, way of life. He is a reactionary, inarticulate asshole who should no more hold public office than should Charles Manson.

Books: the curious incident gets curiouser and curiouser.

Movies: Heaven. Beautiful, lyrical, hypnotic story of two halves of a whole wrapped up in a complex moral dilemma. Do they escape at the end? I think not. She would never absolve herself of her sins and, as we are told at the every beginning of the movie, you cannot simply fly straight up forever.
