Several years ago their baby had died because a room had not been properly ventilated. On th night during which the dream occurred, I was watering a plant (I received a planter for Valentine's day and all the plants, incluing the cyclamen that was in the dream, have died, showcasing my herbicide-colored thumb) that seemed to be dying. I made a comment to the other woman who lived in the house that I hoped that neither it nor the babies would be dead by morning and that someone should check the ventilation. I Was too tired and went to sleep, waking the next morning to find that four babies had died overnight. The rest of the dream was trying to figure out whether I'd be held accountable and what the maximum sentence for manslaughter would be. Pretty gruesome dream. Pretty coincidental that I'm currently managing five product lines.
Last night I skipped out of the event to have dinner with a co-worker. Despite enjoying being off my feet, out of the crowds, not having to be "on" for the clients, I felt horribly guilty throughout the meal and woke in the middle of the night with bad indigestion. No good meal goes unpunished, it would seem. The little travel light box that I use in the mornings has started to make an odd clicking noise when it's sitting next to the laptop, which is where I use it. Maybe some feedback thing. It has various sounds built in - crickets, ocean, heart, bird, brook - allegedly to soothe you, but they're all incredibly annoying. If I get a loud talker (or loud TV player or loud anything else) in the room next to me, I will crank the water droplets sound up to full volume as an electronic version of Chinese water torture.
