The next innovation I’d like to see is pet food that doesn’t REEK. The dog’s dry and canned food both have a stench that makes me think something is rotting every time I walk into the mud room. The cats’ dry food should have a swarm of Pigpen-like flies hovering around it considering the offensive odor. I really don’t care what by-products are in the food, but covering up the smell is not too much to ask.

There was a People magazine lying out in full view at the physical therapy place and it happened to fall open to pictures of Julia Roberts and her twins. In one photo one of them (can’t recall if it was the boy or the girl) was wearing a tiny shirt with the Travelocity gnome. Is that product placement or what?

Speaking of physical therapy, I’m free at last to pursue surgery on my left hand to correct carpal tunnel syndrome. If I can find a time to fit it in among my upcoming travels. When I had my other hand done, I remember the very pleasant Vicodin fog I existed in for a few days afterward. Nothing is going to get me to give that up.
