all was calm, all was bright. woke up today in major pain again with shoulder flare-up so i can't regale you with stories about how my basketball team may be going to oklahoma city or about kinky friedman's making the ballot in texas while ralph reed failed to do so wherever that little worm lives. I did love the part of the story when, while taping a "congratulations on 10 years" message to be played for the Houston Comets (the WNBA team and home of Sheryl Swoopes, who came out last year) he tried but was told "no, Kinky, try again" when he offered

"Houston comets basketball - it isn't just for lesbians anymore!"

i thought it funny - i hope Swoopes wouda.

this is it for a few days - waking up in humongo pain, barely able to move 2 hours later i really gotta shut down for a while. orthopedist would like me to stay away from injections - bad for tendons but said "if the pain is excruciating....." sounds too dramatic but ask me later.
