2010-05-03 12:02 PM Don't Forget to Nominate for the Anthony Awards Read/Post Comments (1) |
Now that the excitement has eased (has it?) after Edgar Week and Malice Domestic, I want to remind you folks who attended Bouchercon last year and who are members of Bouchercon this year to NOMINATE for the Anthony Awards. Deadline is May 28. If you did not get your ballot by email, you can get it on the Bouchercon website. Come on, vote!
This unpaid unpolitical non-advertisement is brought to you by the Fabulous Anthony Chair (that's my official title, you can look it up) (http://bouchercon2010.blogspot.com/) who does NOT want to be up at midnight on May 28 (ok so yeah, yeah, I usually AM, what's yer point?) watching for last minute ballots. YES, you can vote by email. OR you can request a paper ballot, or download a ballot and print it and send it. How easy is THAT, huh? go to the groovy awards page (http://bcon2010.com/awards.php) and get cracking! Nominees must have been published in 2009. There are lots of good books/short stories out there. Do I have to tell you that? And no, I cannot suggest since that would really put into doubt my fabulousness on this, but there are lots of lists out there. Of course, you all keep your own lists, don't you? Sigh....so organized. The Anthony Award is a major deal. Be part of the process. Get your favorites in the mix. This is a very diverse group, and lots of good stuff was published last year and the awards are a major deal in the genre. Vote! Rah! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
