2006-03-30 4:08 PM Hmm.... The Onion, as usual, cuts dangerously close to the bone: Science Fiction Novel Posits Future Where Characters Are Hasily Sketched. Yeah, yeah, Sturgeon's law, etc.,, but its still funny. Of course, my favorite (and *really* disturbingly well-researched) Onion article of all time is still Guy in Philosophy Class Needs to Shut the Fuck Up, the author of which had quite clearly actually sat through a number of college philosophy classes and filled in a lot of plausible details (Singer's thoguht experiments, Russell's theory of descriptions).
