I got paid yesterday (a rare and auspicious occurence) and I was thinking of finally seeing "V for Vendetta" this afternoon, which I've been meaning to do for a while.

Looking up the show times at local NCG theatre, I saw that the afternoon showing is at, ah, 4:20 in the afternoon.

Now, I have a pretty juvenile sense of humor in some ways, I might as well just come clean about that (for example, I was reduced to helpless laughter by this), but is the 4:20 thing really a coincidence? I mean, of all of the possible show times (like say 3:55 or 4 or 4:15 or 4:30), why 4:20 in particular for the movie about resisting government oppression?

Had not to see a wink and a nudge, if not precisely a full-blown statement, embedded in that particular scheduling decision.
