Ah, the good ole Los Angeles freeway system.

Okay, so I turned on CNN at 11:45 (central time) this morning and they are showing a white SUV running from the police on the LA freeways. The header was simply "Developing Story". Upon further investigation (meaning me sitting in front of the tv for the next 20 minutes watching it) they finally said that it was an attempted kidnapping suspect.

They don't know who the person is, who they were trying to kidnap, or if they even succeeded in their task, but that doesn't stop the fearless reporters from breaking the big story from the safety of their desk in the CNN studio.

For a while there they were actually reporting news and had the car chase in a small window on the bottom of the screen but the chase quickly turned into THE story. Forget the US Soldiers that died in Iraq, the rising gas prices or job loss, follow that SUV...

I feel bad for watching it. I don't want to look, but I can't... look... away...
