Buffalo Gal Judi Griggs I'm a communications professional, writer, cynic, mother, wife and royal pain. The order depends on the day. I returned to my hometown in November 2004 after a couple of decades of heat and hurricanes. I can polish pristine copy, but not here. This is my morning exercise -- 20-minute takes without a net or spellcheck. It's easier than sit ups for me. No guarantee what it will be for you. 2004-09-06 7:54 PM The spring of 1972 In the spring of 1972 I passed out cold in Mrs. Rupert's seventh grade science lab, won a history fair and frequently wore polyester culottes.
Any incisive political observer can see I am today clearly unfit for national political office. If you fail to see this logic in this premise, I feel better. Within an hour of writing my last blog, my email box filled with lockstep commentary about "the real Kerry" and his "cowardice." Ignorant was one of the nicer things I was called. The pathethic irony in these missives is that there is no mention made of Bush's non-service during Vietnam or the irrefutable evidence that Kerry led and bled (just questions whether he did either in sufficient quantity in today's revised memories). This would be approximately the same period when Bush fell off the radar. The time when our Commander in Chief was unable to give a drug test in a controlled setting, but had no trouble peeing on a car in a parking lot. That Kerry came home from Vietnam and questioned what he saw and did does not make him a "flip-flopper." That Bush partied through his first 40 years without a significant thought to flop on is a greater concern. I'm not going to reply to the canned assaults individually. So call off the automated dogs. I'm not going to change my mind. And the scary part is that I can't change yours. Copyright 2004 Judi Griggs Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
