Buffalo Gal

I'm a communications professional, writer, cynic, mother, wife and royal pain. The order depends on the day. I returned to my hometown in November 2004 after a couple of decades of heat and hurricanes. I can polish pristine copy, but not here. This is my morning exercise -- 20-minute takes without a net or spellcheck. It's easier than sit ups for me. No guarantee what it will be for you. Dancin' shoes blues

Some people are dancing fools, others are fools dancing.
I had enough wine yesterday to confuse the two.
My husband knew I was missing the rhythm chromosone and married me anyway. At our wedding, we offered live horse racing -- no dancing.
I don't just have two left feet, but two left arms and especially two left hips. If I was capable of finding the beat you could liken the visual to a seizure set to music.
A late liquid lunch transitioned to wine before, during and after dinner. Under any other condition, I would have been quite content with the political discussion around the table with great friends. The the impulse to go dancing appeared from some dark, scary and hereto unexplored place. I'm told I grew quite insistent.
Bobby and Donna wisely choose to preserve our friendship and went home at that point. Anne, Christophe, Charlie and I headed out to the St. Simons night life. My only hope is that others at the club remember as little as I.
I recall bits of old cheerleading and aerobic routines. Charlie assured me I never actually fell down. It was likely the nicest thing he could think of to say.
The good news, Anne just sent me an email that mentioned nothing about last night. They are still my friends.
If it took 45 years for me to suddenly have the desire to dance, then the urge should not hit again until 2049.
After last night, I have every confidence Charlie, Anne and Christophe will be able to convince me to stay home.
