I'm a communications professional, writer, cynic, mother, wife and royal pain. The order depends on the day. I returned to my hometown in November 2004 after a couple of decades of heat and hurricanes. I can polish pristine copy, but not here. This is my morning exercise -- 20-minute takes without a net or spellcheck. It's easier than sit ups for me. No guarantee what it will be for you. Recreational home shoppers

Selling a house on a resort island means learning the maddening difference between recreational HOME shoppers and RECREATIONAL home shoppers.
The first are looking for a home for leisure, the latter consider looking for a home their leisure. The shop-cause-it's-fun type never reveal themselves as pretenders upfront. They require the same preparations to show the home and elevate hopes in the same way.
Some are tourists drunken on sea breezes who temporarily, but actually, believe that they may actually buy a home in paradise. The others know there is no chance in the world they could afford the time or money but are property voyeurs who enjoy the real estate hunt... content to never buy. Both raise homicidal urges.
The cruelest manifestation of this sociopathic disorder are those who simply LOVE the house and schedule several subsequent appointments dragging in friends, family and veterinarians as they discuss where they will place furniture and Aunt Martha's ashes... and then disappear.
The first few times it was amusing, even quirky.
Not any more. At this point, I fully support criminal penalties.
I'd call it a capital crime -- and they can place the chair where ever they damn well please.
