The past week or so, I've been able to focus, and able to get a lot of work done. I don't know if my inability to focus has been due to allergies, hormones, or something else, but I'm glad it's gone away for now.

It's been nice, because I'm leaving town for almost the entirety of spring break. It's not that I have no work to do, but I don't feel the general panic that I sometimes do. I have ONE thing on my plate that needs grading (and it's only one problem), I have at least 1 week of lesson plans done for each class for AFTER the break (and this week is, of course, also done).

My work to do list consists of things like the following:
1. bubble grades-they're due after break but I fully intend to turn them in on Friday, and I can't bubble yet because the students need to have a look at them for errors first-I'll probably bubble on Wed. evening

2. print and copy test-this test is being given after the break

3. make new assignment sheets-plans are done, I just need to tell the kids what their assignments are, this also needed for after break

4. get stuff ready and copied-again all stuff for after the break and most of getting ready is just finding it, which is easy

5. make new seating charts-can't do that until the grades are done and they're not needed until after break

I need to figure out what causes the lack of focus because this focus stuff is great. I'm getting stuff done in a timely manner and am feeling less stressed about life in general.

Of course I'm only half thinking about the fact that we have a trip to get ready for on Sunday. But really that involves:
1. packing-can't do that until closer to the date because I'll nead to do laundry first
2. picking up one last map from AAA-they were out of it when I went last time
3. Gathering ID's, tickets, and other important docs.
4. Buying stuff to keep me busy on the plane-puzzle books and the sort.

I'm sure I'm missing something, but right now I'm not sure what. We have a ride to the airport, we have a ride from the airport back home, and stuff inbetween will happen as it does, it's a vacation, it should be fun and at least somewhat spontaneous.

Speaking of which, the weather doesn't look as cooperative as I'd like. Temperatures will be in the 50's which isn't nearly as bad as it could be. But the latest report shows rain all three days that we'll be in Boston, guess the rain gear should get packed.

I should probably think about heading towards bed, we'll see if the focus lasts, hopefully it will!!

Oh yeah, and I'm happy lately too, who'd've thunk it? :)
