Have spent the evening downloading updates for XP - everything works except the weird Service pack 2 - so I turned on the TV to watch Ally McBeal - the episode where she has cosmetic surgery on her lips.

Very funny. Perhaps I am the only person west of the Ural mountains not to have seen it before. Most likely. I have developed an infinite capacity for watching repeats of TV shows which is good because that is what satellite TV churns out day after day. I'm glad my friends are reading Eats Shoots etc. Punctuation is ultimately the most trivial anal obsession. Thankfully I never learned about the Oxford comma; may it remain that way ad nauseam.
