Actually that title doesn't make sense...maybe Russian Snow Bank Experience...no, that's too wordy.

Anywho, here's the skinny. NEW YORK IS FREAKIN COLD! I called mom last night so she could keep my mind off the cold just on the way home from the subway.

So, as many of you know I live in neighborhood full of Russian people. Being that this is my first winter in the new apartment, it was a new experience for me when it snowed a few days ago. The scenery was different. It was after work and I was walking home from the fruit stand and ofcourse, it had been snowing all day. (FYI...for those who have visited me and are picturing this, it's the big one with the rude people inside. Just a note.) Everyone was dressed in black (some with umbrellas)and the whole feel was very European. It was weird, but cool. I approached Ocean Parkway and it was a blanket of white. The trees that frame the Parkway were clearly barren, the snow on the walking trail barely trodden on, and it was quiet...not many cars for a big highway. I felt like I was on a film set. It was cool actually really cool I couldn't wait to get inside where a warm fuzzy bunny wanted to snuggle. :0) Awww.

Some of my friends had a pub party last night where I could wear my snazzy new gold dress again. It was fun. I was the only girl there for a while so that was fun! Got to be the center of attention for a little while. :) Then their women showed up. I leaned over to my girlfriend (there with her fiance) and it seemed everyone was talking to "their people"...they were all grouped up. Not 2 seconds after I mentioned this, a guy comes from no where and won't stop talking to me about a cool trick he pulled to get someone to sign onto an insurance policy he was promoting. I don't remember anything he was telling me because one part of me was wondering why he kept standing so very close to me and the other was trying to escape like the bustling wind outside. Eventually my friend mentioned she was hungry so I took that opportunity to say my goodbyes and flee!

Good Riddens to Bad Breath!
