Every first Saturday of the month, the Brooklyn Museum has this fun extravaganza and the extra perk is everyone gets in for free after 5pm! I've been really interested to see their Monet exhibit and long-awaiting African Arts exhibit. The Monet exhibit was okay. I'm not a big fan of Monet to begin with. His paintings were meshed with a whole bunch of other painters that were inspired by him. I was getting really confused being behind the glass doors in a section dedicated to him and there were all these other artists taking over the wall. Anywho, it was interesting.

Then I headed to the remainder of the first floor and got to explore african artforms which was so awesome!

Before the museum closed for the night, I headed up to the 3rd floor to the Egypt Reborn exhibition which was also pretty awesome.

After it closed for the night, I sat in their amphitheater area out front and wrote for a while. A gorgeous evening with a bright blue sky.

The evening ended with bunny and I holding paws during "Veronica Guerin". Quite a mind blowing movie. I don't think I've seen Cate Blanchett do anything bad.

:)
