This is the last week of restaurant week here in the city and it happens to be the week people like to have lunch with me. Lucky for me! It's great because a bunch of 4 star restaurants pick a prix fix menu and you pay a super low price for a 3-course meal. It's a great way for poor people like me to get out to anice place now and then.

So on Monday, my buddy Paul and I had lunch at DELMONICOS here in the financial district. We both had crabcakes to start, kinda mushy. Excuse me, crabcake. As in one. For our entree, Paul had the meatloaf and I obted for the skate and shellfish. Meatloaf was good. Fish was kinda squishy. We both had the chocolate cake for dessert with a cappuccino. Chocolate cake was good. Cappucino was yummy! It's a good thing the portions were smaller because I felt refreshingly full. Not stuffed. The decor is very rich. It's a beautiful place. They put us in the back.

Tomorrow I'm meeting my cousin Erik who is in town for the week for lunch. I figured he needed some proper NY pizza so I'm taking him to ADRIENNE'S which is some of the best NYC pizza I've ever had. It's also conviently behind my building on Pearl Street.

Thursday, Derek is taking me to ROSA MEXICANA in Union Square for lunch. I hear they have a rockin' Pomegranate Margarita. Looking forward to that!

It's so nice when no one's in the office and I can take leisurely lunches. :)
