This past Thursday, my Godparents son David took a trip with his college to New York City. The last time I saw David, he was shorter than me. I almost didn't recognize him! Anywho, I took him to my FAVORITE hole in the wall pizza joint in Times Square which... I forget the name, but it's on 8th Ave and 43rd right next door to the Ben and Jerry's. Great Pizza and Nice Italian Men!!! So, we had our slices and headed over to the theater to see "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels".

Unfortunately, John Lithgow who I LOVE has moved on to do a pilot...a children's theater puppet pilot I might add I would have been perfect to co-star in if I had a manager that actually gave a crap. Anywho, onto the show. Now starring Jonathan Pryce as Lawrence Jameson (Micheal Caine played this role in the file) who was great in the role and still starring Tony Award winning Norman Leo Butz who I didn't get to see as it was his night off. However, his understudy Freddy Benson was FANTASTIC! So enjoyable and very specific to the lude character. Ofcourse the Broadway Diva, Rachel York, played the ingenue role of Christine. She has and I'm convinced can do everything under the sun. The leading man and woman, Gregory Jbara and Joanna Gleason, had a very enjoyable counterpart storyline. I have always been annoyed by Joanna Gleason. I really don't know why. I know a lot of people find me annoying. Anyway, she was decent. Never really empathized with her. Even a comedic actress needs empathy. It's the same "empathy" I give Christine Ebersole. Anywho, the musical as a whole is great! A very Enjoyable evening with excellent company!
